Writing with an exciting opportunity that we are hoping can be shared with your ASA section listserv. Recently, UC Berkeley received a generous grant from the Hewlett Foundation to fund a political-economy project across the social sciences. As a result, the Network for a New Political Economy at UC Berkeley is hosting a week-long summer workshop for early career sociologists (Phd degree date 2012 or later) to gather, share their work, and think through what political-economy might look like in contemporary sociology. We are hoping to attract those who already work in what they think of as political-economy as well as those who hope to connect their work in related areas. The workshop will take place between June 18-June 24th, 2023 at UC Berkeley and $4,000 will be given to cover expenses while at the workshop.
