Hi everyone,

My colleagues and I are interested in how researchers do the work of
qualitatively analyzing unstructured information, like from field notes,
interview transcripts, and documents (from digital to analog). We are
especially interested in how doctoral students in the dissertation phase
navigate the challenges of working with and analyzing this sort of data.

We are currently taking part in the NSF I-Corps program (website
https://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/i-corps/) that helps academics
like us discover whether some of the research we have done in the past
could potentially be commercialized.

If you do qualitative work and are a doctoral candidate or teach
qualitative methods to doctoral students, we would love to chat with you
about the tools you use and the challenges you face. Interviews should last
15 minutes.

If you are interested, please send a note to me via email at
bmckerna@syr.edu.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Brian McKernan, PhD
